Our American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) student organization has deep roots in Tarleton’s civil engineering program, which began in Fall 2014. Initially founded as the “Tarleton Engineering Club” in Fall 2016, the organization took an important step forward on February 28, 2018, when it submitted its statement of intent to establish a student chapter with ASCE. After a successful year of growth and engagement, the chapter, housed within the Mayfield College of Engineering, was officially recognized under the ASCE Fort Worth Branch (within the Texas Section and Region 6). Now, we are proud to announce that we will host the 2025 ASCE Frontier Student Symposium at Tarleton State University.
The ABET accredited civil engineering program at Tarleton is offered across multiple campuses, including the main Stephenville campus, Texas A&M RELLIS-Bryan campus, and Waco campus. These locations provide students with flexible access to a high-quality engineering education. Within the Mayfield College of Engineering, civil engineering is part of a dynamic growth phase, supported by a $54 million, 98,000-square-foot facility that boasts industry-grade and research-level equipment. In addition to civil engineering program, the college offers bachelor’s programs in three departments—Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, Department of Mechanical, Environmental, and Civil Engineering and Department of Engineering Technology—as well as master’s programs in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Quality Engineering Management.
As a founding member of The Texas A&M System, Tarleton State University is setting new standards in enrollment, research, scholarship, athletics, philanthropy, and community engagement. Serving over 18,000 students across campuses in Stephenville, Fort Worth, Waco, Bryan, and online, Tarleton remains dedicated to providing accessible, real-world education that addresses regional, state, and national needs. For 125 years, the university has been committed to helping students grow academically, socially, and professionally.
We are excited to welcome everyone to the 2025 ASCE Frontier Student Symposium at Tarleton State University!
