April 14^th

Concrete Canoe Unloading – 7:00am

          Located at Tuttle Creek State Park – 5800 A River Pond Rd, Manhattan, KS 66502

Two Loading docks are available or can be carried over the sand

Unloading Schedule

7:00am – K-State and Dordt

7:10am – Iowa and Iowa State

7:20am – Kansas and Lincoln Nebraska

7:30am – Missouri S&T and Mizzou

7:40am – Omaha Nebraska and Southern Illinois at Carbondale

7:50am – South Dakota State and UMKC

 

Prototype Display and Floatation Test – 8:00am

          Will go in similar order to unloading schedule

Upon completion of Display judging, each team shall take their canoe

into the late for floatation testing

 

Captains and Paddlers Meeting – 10:00am

          Located at the judges table at the point of the beach as shown in map

Will discuss the racecourse, address questions, and have a safety minute

 

Finals:

          Final races for the sprints will take place if the following occur:

                    Normal races end prior to 3:00pm

2/3 of the competing chapters agree prior to normal races

Weather conditions are still met

Finals will consist of the 4 teams with the fastest times to. If you win your heat but don’t have 1 of the 4 fastest times, you will not be included in the finals. If finals races are not held, the winners will be determined based on the fastest times.

Steel Bridge Unloading – 7:00am

          Located at K-State Parking Garage- 700 N M.L.K. Jr. Dr, Manhattan, KS 66506.

Unloading Schedule

7:00am – K-State, Iowa State, and UMKC

7:10am – Missouri S&T, Missouri State, and Mizzou

7:20am – Southern Illinois at Carbondale and Edwardsville

7:30am –South Dakota State and William Jewell College

 

Aesthetics Set Up and Judging – 7:30am

          Will go in similar order to unloading schedule.

Upon completion of Aesthetics, each team shall disassemble their bridge and

return to their area to await their turn to compete.

 

Steel Bridge Competition – 9:00am

          Each team shall first complete a member check before the building of their bridge.

Following the building, the team will move onto the Lateral Load Testing and weighting.

Finally, each team will complete the Vertical Load Testing before disassembling their bridge.
