[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]ASCE\u2019s Got Talent is <\/span>here to allow competitors to take a break from the engineer\u2019s mindset and <\/span>allow <\/span>for<\/span> ASCE student members to show off their non-engineering skills and talents.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Judges will grade based on <\/span>originality<\/span>, <\/span>quality,<\/span> stage-pre<\/span>sen<\/span>c<\/span>e<\/span>,<\/span> appropriateness, and overall e<\/span>ngagement.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”Rules”][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

  1. Performers must be a part of ASCE and a part of one of the competing school\u2019s chapters. No outsiders will be allowed to participate.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Three entries will be allowed per school. These can be solo performances or group performances up to ten people.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Performances must be safe and family friendly \u2013 no profanity, violence, or any explicit content is allowed. One or two offenses can lead to a reduction in points and repeated offenses can result in a disqualification for your performance group.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Time limit will be up to 7 minutes. You can go over a maximum of 10 seconds. Any more will result in a reduction of points.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Acts must provide their own props. Nothing will be provided except audio equipment (microphone).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Please have an idea of your performance and email it to <\/span>asce@gmu.edu<\/span><\/a> for approval by March 30<\/span>th<\/span>. Once approved, please stick to that performance for the competition. If your idea was rejected, come up with another send it to the aforementioned email address.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. The decisions made by judges or the show\u2019s management in setting rules or evaluating a performance are usually considered final and are not subject to complaint or alteration.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
