Mailer 1.5 – Local Rules & Updates – October 

2024 DEADLINES

All deadlines are EST. Please note this list is subject to change. 

October 31st Mailer 1 Acknowledgment Form due from each student chapter.
Mailer 1.5 with local competition rules and additional hotel information sent to each campus chapter.
November 1st, by 5:00 pm Eastern Time Statement of Intent & Acknowledgement of Eligibility Requirements Form due from each team intending to compete in a Society-wide or Society Pilot Competition – Concrete Canoe, Student Steel Bridge, Sustainable Solutions, Surveying, Construction Institute, Timber-Strong, and 3D Printing.

One form is required for each competition and must be filled out by the team captain and faculty advisor. 

The online form* must be completed by the team captain and faculty advisor(s). Each entity will submit a separate form. 

* Concrete Canoe forms can be found in the 2025 ASCE Concrete Canoe Request for Proposal Rules.

The Concrete Canoe Research and Development Schedule and RFQ Pre-Qualification Form are due.
Fall Time Frame Each Timber-Strong Design Build team member who is a builder must complete the Ladder Training Safety online course and submit certification of completion to Cerberus before project work begins.

December 1 (postmarked by) Student Chapter registration is due (see instructions on page 9)

January 6, by 5:00 pm Eastern Time ASCE Surveying Competition Topographic Mapping Project will be released to teams by 5:00 pm EST on the ASCE UESI Surveying Competition Collaborate Site

February 1 ASCE Student Chapter Annual Reports are due by 11:59 pm EST to ASCE. (More information on Annual Reports can be found here. If you have questions on your Annual Report, email student@asce.org). Submitting the ASCE Student Chapter Annual Report is an eligibility requirement to compete at the Student Symposia Competitions and to advance to Society-wide Competition Finals. See the eligibility requirements for details.
ASCE Student Chapter annual dues must be paid, as received by ASCE, no later than 11:59 p.m. EST. Paying ASCE Student Chapter annual dues is an eligibility requirement to compete at the Student Symposia Competitions and to advance to Society-wide Competition Finals. February 3 ASCE Construction Institute Student Symposium Competition Team Form is due.
Links to the form will be sent from ASCE to team captains and faculty advisors per information provided on intent forms.
