The annual Pacific Southwest Conference (PSWC) is a three day long event hosted by ASCE student chapters that encourages industry learning and friendly competition between universities. California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo will be hosting the 2019 conference from April 3rd-6th.
The Pacific Southwest Conference provides students the opportunity to build upon their classroom learning and put their civil and environmental engineering skills to the test. We anticipate approximately 1,500 students representing 18 universities from 4 states to compete in a variety of technical and non-technical competitions. Some highlights include the concrete canoe competition and the second running of the Timber-Strong Design Build event. After the conclusion of all competitions, students will gather at the beautiful Avila Beach Golf Resort for an awards banquet along the Pacific coast.
