GeoWall
The GeoWall competition is organized by the Geo-Institute and ASCE to test students in their abilities to design and build a mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) retaining wall. The MSE retaining wall will consist of the wall-facing poster board to reinforced paper to hold the greatest load. Judging will consist of ranking schools by the least amount of material needed to support the sand and soil surcharge loads, as well as a design report and design poster. The design section is the students’ chance to effectively communicate and explain their analysis to the panel judges.
