Steel Bridge Competition
The AISC Student Steel Bridge Competition (SSBC) challenges students to design, fabricate, and construct a twenty-two-foot-long bridge made of steel. Each year the rules change to symbolize the challenges engineers must face for different site conditions and design constraints. Students from California, Nevada, and China compete for the prizes of Aesthetics, Structural Efficiency, and Construction Efficiency. UC Davis is proud to host the 2022 AISC Student Steel Bridge Competition Mid-Pacific Regional Event and welcome students of all backgrounds to our event.
